I think it will depend on how many they mint. If they don't go overboard on the mintage it may easily be buying them from the mint will be the cheapest place to buy. I think these coins will be very popular due to the subject and I think they are nice looking coins. I think I will take the risk and get them from the mint.

I hear ya but if the past is any indication then I’ll be fine, at least as far as the mint is concerned. Lol

Just a simple critique from a Vietnam MedEvac Sergeant:

Two of the coins show a maiden, in ball-room attire, with a sword and spear, where we virtually didn't see a woman soldier IN THE FIELD.

I often received a salute, and recognition as "Doc", spoken by the wonderful wounded warriors we retrieved from the field, and believe the most valuable coin should reflect, at least the wounded SOLDIER, who then may have had insufficient M1 carbine or M2, M14 rifles: https://www.google.com/search?q=wer...GIAEGA3iAwQYACBBiAYBkAYI&sclient=gws-wiz-serp

I believe the M1 carbine, M2 were carried at the end of WW2, The soldiers later, as in Vietnam, often had only a jammed rifle: https://rowman.com/ISBN/9780811737968/Misfire-The-Tragic-Failure-of-the-M16-in-Vietnam !!

I trust/hope, a suggestion of including major "players" history in WW2, and following, isn't in violation of site-standards and found offensive, for which I would apologize!

    JMHO

My brother dusty was a ranger who did two and a half tours in Vietnam. couldn't quote him about anything involving Vietnam that would make it past the censors. Lol. James

I fully understand, from the experiences of my brother and I, it was HELL for the "drafted" front-line grunt/soldier! https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-e&q=grunt+soldier+meaning

The saving factor for many was that some of the best drugs were readily available, and partially compensated for pain.

Interesting buying (or not) pattern for the 3 coin proof set. Yesterday there was a one household limit. Now the site says no limit and the sets are still available. I would have thought with a 5,000 limit production these would have sold out yesterday. It's looking like the demand is not there?
