Hi, I don't know much about the way this works. Have had over 50 years of coin experience and amy willing to offer help/advice to anyone. Joe WINS #9
Hi Peter, He does not give much information that helps. Florin is not used on Italian coins. Florini and Florino are. Until the unification of Italy in 1860 the principal coin issuing areas were: The Kingdom of the Two Sicilies--the island of Sicily and "Naples" (southern Italy), Papal States (Centeral Italy), Tuscany (West Central Italy), Venice (Northeast Italy, and Sardinia (Northwest Italy and the Island of Sardinia). Considering he says the coin is from the 1400s and in perfect condition I would be lery of a copy. My suggestion is to send it to ANACS. Joe
