Thursday I received a notice saying I had 30 trophy award points making my total 93. What exactly are these points for, I mean other than I like a lot of post, I have comments that have been liked etc. etc.. Do I build up points to exchange for fabulous prizes, will I get a password to a secret collectors society, I'm just curious. Is there a list of which member has the most points? Should I be setting point total goals? Does everyone win a trophy just because they participated? Please explain this to me.
Yes the max is 113.. when you get there you will be part of the "in" crowd https://www.cointalk.com/members/?type=points
Goals that need to be achieved I'm sure. I've always striven to be part of the in crowd. (NOT) I'm sure being a supporter has been covered but I can't remember just what that entails but I think I can probably accomplish both. Thanks for the info
OK I figured it out. When I get to 1000 post i will get the 20 points needed to hit the illustrious and coveted 113. Now just figure out how to be a supporter and I will be in the upper echelon of the coin collecting world.
Last I looked you can be a supporter you can do by month or year. It's not much. Look for it on your profile page. I've considered and eventually will.
We should form a union and demand they raise the ceiling. 113 points aren't enough to get a bronze painted name plate, much less qualify for rehab.
113 points and $6+tax (where applicable) will get you a foot-long tuna sub on Friday at Subway. Chris
Well I have reached the pinnacle of Coin Talk Award Points. I reached the 113 mark I consider myself a success. I am in the rarefied air of the numismatic forum elite.
