Last Coins of 2023 or First Coins of 2024, depending on how you look at it. Coins ordered in November and December that have just arrived. An eclectic blend of Greek and Roman Provincial. Mysia, Lampsakos (apparently a very rare type) Troas, Alexandreia Troas, Kebren (bronze) Nabataean Kingdom, Petra - Rabbel II, with Gamilat (double struck error) Bithynia, Nicaea - Gordian III (brockage error) KINGS of MACEDON - Demetrios I Poliorketes (brockage error) KINGS of MACEDON - Demetrios I Poliorketes Bithynia, Nicaea - Gordian III w/ countermark (rare coin - die match to Lindgren's coin) Cilicia, Seleucia ad Calycadnum - Gordian III w/ countermark
Troas is awesome, its so well centered, I have the same coin but the face is barely on the flan! I also love the counter mark on the Gordian.
I have always collected error coins, they are #1 on my purchase list, but I didn't start collecting countermarks until recently as they are almost always on low condition coins. These two Gordian's had nice quality countermarks especially the triangular neck "tattoo".
