Nice coins....had to sell my 1915-S earlier this year to pay some bills, hurt. Will post some of the others later.
I am trying to expand my collection but there’s always a bump in the road..LOL but I here you on bills especially trying to recover from Christmas, trying to switch up every month did my 1881-S liberty last month and the 1908 Saint this month so probably going to get some bullion in January probably a buffalo.
The High Relief The "low relief" A 1908 No Motto. This was my first $20 gold piece, bought in 1965. Today it is in an NGC MS-64 holder. A 1922. I bought this as my first "With Motto" piece, which I was getting all of the gold types. This is only graded MS-63. I think that it is a point better. When I upgraded to an MS-65, I decided to keep it. A 1927. This is my current type piece. It is a PCGS MS-65, CAC. I overpaid for it because of the sticker. Silly me.
I'm dating myself as a collector, but one of the first coins I bought was the (2009) MMIX Ultra High Relief gold coin. I bought it from a dealer. It came with the wood box, the book, and a soft piece of material and the shipping box the original owner received with the coin. The original owner was disappointed in the grade, so he sold it to the dealer. It was graded MS68. Not a super great grade, but a nice one. I bought it for $2,200. I don't know what it's book price is now, but I won't be selling it.
My only one. Kicked myself for several years for not buying a 27 in 64 for $1800. Which was too much at the time. Here’s the kicker. It was a beauty. Probably a 65. And in a pcgs doily holder. From an antique dealer colleague that knew nothing about holders
Super nice 1907 @Mainebill when I cycle back around for another Saint in March will be looking for an 07
I like the 07. Much scarcer than the 08 no motto. And an affordable first year alternative to the high relief
I had to get an 08 NM Wells Fargo Nevada I have been hunting do a good example for a few years now and those prices keep going up ! I am now seeing 65,s in the 3K range and 66,s in the mid 4K range and up from there but not all coins are created equal l…LOL
