That is fantastic Larry. I had one really nice 19th c English one a few years ago I sold. Me I just keep my coins in pcgs boxes in my safe
It was back almost 20 years ago I posted my Nichols cabinet on these forum that I think started the boom in interest in Peter's coin cabinets for collectors in the States. so its a shock to learn the current owner has decided to close the business. I hope someone can takeover the name and continue. In the UK there is currently Rob Davis that makes professional coin cabinets so all is not lost. I was told he makes the cabinets sold at the Royal Mint website. I've not seen his creation up close but was told by owners that his standard is very high.
My workbench? Late 19th c. Probably ca 1880. Believe me it’s much needed but i have far more impressive antique tools. And they’re all in daily use. Other than some power tool basics to rough out stock etc. almost all my work done by hand. Same as it was when the pieces i work on were made. And yes I manage to have pretty nails usually too lol
