Got this coin in change, I'm not sure if this is an error?
    What say you?

Either crud or corrosion. Taking pictures at an angle is not as good as taking full 90 degree pictures for picking out details.

Like was said, could be crud, could also have been introduced into an acidic environment. A little warm soapy water might tell more. And def. better straight on pics.

My vote is PMD - Post Mint Damage. It happened after it left the mint, so it is not any mint error.

I can’t tell with those angles photos but I would agree with what’s been said. Not a mint error.
