JA is not "still in charge" of the separate entities. Of course Standards that JA has long ago established, that protect the collector are in force. By no means does that translate to CAC doing the grading. CAC does not. CACG grades and encapsulates.
Thanks Bradgator. Looks close to NGC slab thickness so should fit my holders if I ever get one. James
The CACG holders will fit in an old Teletrade storage box. Beyond that I guess somebody needs Mfgr some that will accommodate. For pricing CACG coins you can buy the CAC CPG Qtrly mag off eBay for around $10 if you don’t already have a CDN subscription. A recent article by CDN says they will use same pricing on CACG and CAC PCGS / NGC material.
CACG is doing so. I think you mean the CAC RCMR (CAC Rare Coin Market Review) Quarterly, a Retail Guide for strictly CAC pieces. The CPG Coin and Currency Market Review is a Quarterly Pricing Guide based on GREYSHEET pricing and does not include CAC pricing data. Note that the Currency pricing portion is retail pricing based on updated wholesale prices. Using one in place of the other is probably not helpful, but could possibly result in a good Boinking, so there is that.
That’s right- there is the CDN qtrly review for CAC retail and non CAC MV (retail). I get that data in my phone app anyway for both CAC and non CAC. However I like to buy the mags every qtr get big picture overview. I think last time it was $13 for both around drive thru fast food money. Both retail guides based on CDN bid which has a number for CAC and non CAC. They are 2 separate price guides. Bidding has been very aggressive on the CACG coins.
I believe bidding will continue too be aggressive on the CACG pieces as not that many in marketplace right now. It will be interesting what situation like 6-7 months from now.
