1916 Buffalo Nickel error/possible DDR?

    Hello everyone. I did some research online and didn’t find any info to match what I’m seeing on the reverse of this coin so let me know what you think.

    -One of the buffalo’s back legs appears to doubled and has a knee.
    - some of the letters in The United States of America appear to be doubled (particularly the “N” in United and the “TA” in States
    - possibly doubling by the buffalos ear?

    Odd markings in that area are usually the result of a clash.
    Here is an overlay. you will see that the eye cheek and forehead detail clash with the same area as the extra knee that you are seeing.
