    What does the third side look like? Almost looks like it was struck on a type 1 blank.

    The edge is copper and it weighs 25.4 grams. By type 1 I'm assuming you mean a blank that hasn't gone through the upsetting mill. This appears to have a proto rim but just not seated well in the anvil die. As you can see on the obverse the die is slightly misaligned so the edge is thinner on that portion.

    O.K., just to see if I have it straight. By "third side" you mean the edge, right?
