Some interesting bronzes in my latest lot

    There were a few interesting bronzes in my latest lot;

    Ae3 of Constantine II....looks nearly good enough to be official.

    Nice Ae4 Trier Vrbs probably barbarous

    025.JPG Another nice Ae4 Lyons Vrbs again probably barbarous, TLG in exergue

    Interesting indeed! The mule is great, coin 2 could very well be official with an engraver's misspelling, and I agree that the two VRBS are unofficial. What an intriguing quartet!

    Thats a nice group, even if you didn't point out coin 2 is a Mule, for some reason my eyes go to it the most. I like the portrait on it.

    @Mat - coin 1 is actually the mule. An obverse of Constantine II should have PROVIDENTIAE CAESS reverse legend, not AVGG.

    Those top 2 coins are my favorite. They look fascinating!

    Mules are incorrect combinations of genuine dies. None of these are official. Are they ancient? I am in no position to say one way or the other.
