I picked up this at auction yesterday. I suspect it is a Jetton or other European early copper coin - Spain, France, Netherlands etc. Anyone recognise it to save me searching through the books?

If you can make out the verbiage on the perimeter, I'll search for the wording in my Mitchiner book.

Thanks for that. Struggling to make out much of the wording - I get one or two letters at a time and I can't make out any words that make sense.

Somebody on another forum came up with this link: http://www.ma-shops.com/almanumis/item.php5?id=2893&lang=en which looks to be a close match for the reverse although the mint mark is different and I can't match the writing exactly.

If I could read more of the legend, it appears to be in Latin of course, I could try to help.
