What to do, what to do..
I do quite a bit of coin roll hunting and have accumulated a good number of NIFC's. I know this subject has been hammered but I can't quite seem to just quit saving back the NIFC's nor is it easy for me to pass them up when I find them.
Same goes for Proof coins. I also have several of these in different years. The proofs are nice but not perfect. Some have minor scratches on the fields. Seem to pretty to put back in circulation but not pretty enough to put in my album.

If you're not putting them in the album, then what the heck do you expect to do with them? If the hole is empty, fill the hole - and hope you find a better coin to replace it with. If the hole is filled, then spend the damn thing. IMHO.

While I generally will say collect what you like, in this case it seems more like hoarding than collecting. Listen to the corgi. Fill any holes you have right now and roll the rest. Find a different bank to return them to and use the proceeds to get another box.

I generally agree with what's already been said but if you really just like keeping them, there's no harm in it as long as you can afford it. There's been many many great hoards found over the years that have gotten collectors excited, maybe yours can be one of them in the future. :woot:

That may be unlikely but still nothing wrong with "hoarding" them if that's what you want to do. I'd suggest rolling them or putting them in coin tubes for easy storage.

Agreed. I know I certainly would keep all the NIFC and proofs I'd find. I definitely wouldn't put proofs back into circulation even if impaired. Although I suppose you can and make somebody's day when they find them!

Apparently the subject hasn't been hammered long enough for me to know what the "NIFC" acronym stands for.
