But you didn't listen, did you? I think we have enough to catch this guy!

The coin is still eerily attractive though.

The 10 year old Boy bought a second snickers bar with that nickel and then was remanded into the witness protection program.
Now after 79 years he's 89 and wants out :D

Is it too late to lift a latent fingerprint and ID the suspect?

Probably too late the old fashioned way of lifting the print, but with computer digital technology they could probably get a match.

    DNA, now there's another subject.

It is one of the more interesting finger prints I've seen on a coin.

Damn he was probably more concerned about being shipped to Germany or Japan so not concerned about the fingerprint

If only you could go back in time and put fingers on it after a fried chicken dinner. It's funny what makes a coin more valuable. lol

Hard time catching this guy from the fingerprints...
But at least we can narrow it down to Peru.

What's interesting is how different people's body chemistry can be. I used to work in a Guitar store and I did alot of the guitar repairs and string changes. We had a few customers that would have their guitars restrung by us regularly yet when they brought it in the strings would be green and chunky from the oils and what not on their skin. While other people (like me) can keep a set of strings on way too long and the air does more corrosive damage than my skin.

I know that's about guitars, not coins - but my point is some people probably are more likely to leave a nasty print than others. Also many guitar strings are nickel, so there's that connection.
