Hello everyone, Amazing weather in NYC yesterday.. I did a quick 4 hour Metal Detecting hunt at Brooklyn's Prospect Park. I detected the following goodies.. 1941 Philadelphia Winged Liberty Head Dime 6 Wheat Cents - All in bad condition Everything Vintage lead fishing weight Miscellaneous pictures
And once again that park is a little bit cleaner. All good finds but that dime looks really good even with the dirt on it.
I had a little bad incident with an older lady (Karen) early in the morning. She asked me if I was supposed to be detecting in the wooded area I was in because there was a fence. I pointed out to her that it was an old fence and that it was open on both sides. Also I told her a had a permit from the parks department and that I've been following the rules for 14 years. She blurted some other craziness out so I told her to relax because high blood pressure kills. She didn't like that I told her that and she called me an a**h*** Then I told her she shouldn't say things like that. I also said "God loves you and you shouldn't curse at God's children which I am one of" she was furious and walked away
I never, never, never got tired of diggin' those Merc dimes. Like Alan Jackson sang, "I'm crazy 'bout a Mercury"
