    Entry post.

    Thanks to LordM and the very spiffy Snowflake for another extremely generous contest.

    I am still interested in Lot 1. Usually I focus on US circulated coins, but have also been interested in getting at least one ancient coin. The "widow's mite" has special appeal (and would be of great interest to several of my children and older grandkids).

    A few of the grands visited recently and the wife had them hang up the stockings (and we do have a few of them).

    Southern India: ca. 1700-1830 gold fanam
    It seems like a very interesting piece. The only other tiny coin I have, and I can't seem to find a photo of it, is an ancient Greek lion/boar apx 5mm.

    Speaking of #7, the wife and I were just talking about TV shows that we watched when we were kids. I abolutely loved watching Grizzly Adams when I was a kid.

    I heard a funny story with these tiny gold coins that merchants or travelers who had these tiny coins would sometimes be approached by robbers and they would eat the coins and retrieve them later.
