A dime from the coin star today.
The obverse is slightly larger than the obv.

Misaligned obverse die. No added value in my opinion.

The obverse is a mint error but it’s only a misaligned die strike. Nice find but it’s only worth face value.

Difference of opinion does not equal hate. Lately people have invented a new definition for that ugly word.

    No need for negative comments.
In time you will learn that there are minor issues that are so common and that they really shouldn't have a premium. We are not haters but educators. When you see issues such as minor Misaligned Die strikes being sold for hundreds of dollars on eBay.. that's when we should hate because they are robbing uneducated newbies of their money o_O

SO, yes, it is a vertically misaligned die. one of the pick ups is a tapered looking coin. In this case the right side of the coin is paper thin while the left side is nearly double as thick.

    Minor but fun to find.

Thanks, it is a neat find. There are many of these minor errors out there, but for the most part not valuable at all. The only way a minor error will nold any value is when it is in mint state, and usually needs to be near gem or better.
These are fun just to stash away in a roll or an album.

Besides the misaligned die does anyone else the doubling; I believe I'm wrong but it looks doubled.

I believe it is just machine doubling, so it is visible , but not worth anything , IMO.

It's not machine doubling, because of the tilted die, when the planchet is struck and pressure is applied the die face moves at a slight angle, in this case to the right. It makes the devices slightly thicker. There isn't any type of shelf like doubling in hand.

This crowd say more keepers than spenders. It’s a minor flaw be most of us love them just the same. If I got that as a gift I’d be happy
