I noticed a conversation about a silver dollar, and I have a question. If I flip a coin like a penny, dime or quarter from top over,I have it right side up from front to back. But my 2020 silver dollar is upside down. Is this normal? And it is slightly tilted. In order for it to look right side up I'd have to flip from east to west.
We need photos. In this case a photo of the coin standing in front of a mirror would be best. Welcome to CT
It could be another Magician's Coin.. They are machined in a way where they are able to remove the reverse half which would make the obverse a shell, and when it is put back together they usually don't line up in the correct position. Google Scotch and Soda magic trick so you can see the set up. It is usually a Kennedy Half but maybe someone decided to use a Silver Dollar.
Seems you seem to be describing 'medal turn' as opposed to 'coin turn'. If you flip (turn) your coin north/south both sides should be oriented right sides up. If not do not pass go/ do not collect $200........
