As I was attributing my back log of coins I came across this odd Pontos, Amisos which I assumed was a common issue. However I can't seem to find any other copies of it besides one that was listed in acsearch that was sold by Roma Numismatics in January 2016. These coins typically have AMI-ΣOY but this one has AMAΣ-ΣEIAΣ. BMCG 13. 6. 2 (plate I, 13) The BMCG obverse description is of a Bust of youthful Perseus right, head bear and winged; drapery on neck. The reverse is described as AMAΣ-ΣEI(AΣ), cornucopiae between pilei aurmounted by stars. Roma Numismatics Sample Coin (January 2016)
SINOPE, PAPHLAGONIA AE16 OBVERSE: Winged head of young Perseus REVERSE: SINW-PHS, cornucopiae between two pilei of the Dioskouroi, each surmounted by a star Struck at Sinope, 120-100 BC 4.09g, 16mm SNG Cop 306, SNGvA 231, Sear 3713 Ex JAZ Numismatics
Yea that's what I was looking for but for some reason when I did a search only 1 coin showed up. It must be the various spellings of Amisos; your search resulted under Amaseia (frustrating).
