1959 penny omm d/s

So I got this at Walmart today it looks like a d over an s can somebody help me out with this thank you I looked I can't find the variety anywhere

The mintmark is damaged, also San Francisco didn't make any cents in 1959.

 

ok that's what I was trying to find out about San Fran no S minted in 59

No, they did not.

 

San Francisco did not mint any cents with mintmarks 1956-1967.

To weed out some coins, and definitely the damagaed ones. You might try seperating them into three piles or sets of stacks.
When I am going thru coins the coins that pop with luster go in one pile The circulated good dates go in another pile. The damaged coins I only do a survey rotate it under a light to check the date, and usually don't even put a loop to them. Once you learn to weed the damaged coins out. The better you will get at attributing them. The value of variety's and Errors is in the condition of the coin.

 

If you have a Red Book you need to use it. If not, buy one. It’s worth the money.
