    To think they minted half a billion Morgan's on those simple machines. I think some of you have all 13 years of the CC Morgans that rolled off this press. They were doing demonstration I read a few months back. FIRE IT UP need some more older ones.

    Took a tour there some years back and would do it again if I was passing through. If I remember right there was even a coin shop across the street.

    In 2020 the CC mint museum fired up ol' #1 press for a special minting of their very first coin, a seated liberty half dollar reissue/copy.

    Back in 2020 you could go into the museum store and buy a silver blank, take it over to the coin press and they would mint this token (a bit smaller than half dollar size) right in front of you. I think they still do this.
