Steve,no they don't.I can guess that you will be trying to collect the pre-decimal banknotes from Rhodesia (1964-68) though. The 1964 issue banknotes are far harder to find than the 1966-68 issues.I have got the Rhodesian 5 Quid from the 1964 issue & the 10/- & 1 Quid both dated 1968. Aidan.
LOL Hi See basicly yes a few posts back in this thread I said I was only going to collect Commonwealth that had Lizzy on so then Aidan asks me if I am going to collect the Repulic of Ireland & Zimbabwee
Steve,I take it that you are going to collect Rhodesian banknotes then? I must warn you that the Rhodesian banknotes are getting harder to find. I'm surprised that you are collecting Ulster banknotes, considering that none of them have the Queen's portrait on them. There was a series of Irish trading bank notes that depicted Queen Victoria's portrait on them. They are quite rare.As to which bank issued them,I can't tell you off hand. Aidan.
But they are part of my British collection, I collect Scottish as well. Now as for what I am going to collect I am not going to be collecting odd & obscure very expensive notes even if they have god on them, I am after nice copies of reasonably priced Commonwealth notes with the Queens head on them and if I can afford them any earlier notes Pre Indipendence notes that is, nothing from a country that has gained its indipendence unless I like em or it has the Queen on it. I am also collecting German up to 1945 Including Notgeld Austrian up to 1945 Including Notgeld JIM notes British (this includes the Islands/Scotland/Ulster) British Army notes Most East European up to Comunist take over Russia for the Mrs USA And odds that might take my fancy
Here's a link that will be right up your street; www.irishpapermoney.com .It lists Ulster banknotes as well as Irish banknotes, including the Irish Euro banknotes. Aidan.
Thank you Aidan but I have what I need on Irish Banknotes and once again I am not interested in Republican issues be they free state, Decimal or Euro, trade notes or even fairy notes from santa LOL Please read my list of what I am interested in
