Now I'm not saying I'm definitely going to win this contest, but as far as omens go, I'm feeling pretty good about this. My wife and I have been helping our local Friends of the Library group set up for a big sale later this month. Going through the many boxes of donated books and sorting them into appropriate genre, someone asked "Where should I put this?". My response was a quick "In my hands for my library."

OK, even if I don't win, I'm finding Sayles' book to be a fun read, and I'm even more committed to eventually getting an ancient coin.

 

Lot 6 is what I would love to own. It's a hard decision to make considering I don't have any seated dimes. Any ancient coins, or even any gold. But I have found some new thing's to collect and that's commemorative half dollars. I have Walking Liberties and some Franklin Halves, but I don't have any of the old silver commemorative coins. I recently picked up two modern commemorative halves one being the 1986 and the other being the 1989. I started with the Modern because of the price tags of the older silvers. So, this would be a great way to start my collection!

Believe it or not, I have never owned a premium gem RD Lincoln Cent, that old holder makes it very handsome.
