Went to the LCS yesterday with my son. It's hard to shop with a 6-year-old but I manage as best I can. I bought a lot of coins as usual, but here's a few that stood out for various reasons. - The Hawaii quarter is a first for me. I have a dime but no others from there. - There's an 1878 Burma 1/4 pe (I also got 1865). The book value looks low but I've never seen this coin. - Tibet 3 Srang - Never seen a silver coin from Tibet. This set me back a bit price-wise but when you see something unusual you have to buy it. Can anyone help with the date? - 1890 German East Africa 1 rupee - Love the hat, and I always buy coins from this territory when I see them. I had one other rupee but it's a different type, so this is a great addition. - 1910 Chile 1 peso - This probably is nothing big but I liked it. - 1927 Italy 20 lire - This also wasn't cheap but I still think I got a great deal. You don't see these too often. - 1935 Sweden 5 kronor - Crown size silver coin of a type I didn't have. - China 10 cash (?) - This is the biggest cash coin I've seen. It's about crown size. I have to research it but assuming it's real, it's pretty interesting.

I thought it is quite interesting that the date is written in words and not numerals. Very nice lot of coins.
