I was walking and found these on the side of the road look like they have been there a while unfortunatly it looks like they were run over several times thats why they are in such bad condition:vanish:
they might not have been there al that long. considering what they are, they would have been scattered further and further aprt as time went on and one or more coins repeatedly got run over. if you found them relativly close to each other, its more likely somone just decided to torture the coins and toss them out. sad indeed! then again.. for a melt value so high... who would just toss em out... are they possibly fake?
one should always looka t the bright side instead of seeing the glass half empty its always best to see it half full just my 2 cents u should tak eit to a dealer to see how much they will give you probably not above melt. i dont know about anyone else but i would get excited if i found 50 bucks on th e street or even 5 bucks
Yeah, just take 'em into any old coin store and they should buy them off you for just under the spot price of silver. My guess is $8-9 a pop, since they're 90% silver and less than an ounce minus a little more because of the wear. Don't know what the ASW is exactly, but silver's about $12.80 right now.
Sorry, but I find it hard to feel bad for anyone who walks along and just happens to find #5 (FIVE!!!!) silver dollars laying on the side of the street. I would be happy as all heck. (even tho they were crummy as anything.)
That's an interesting find for something laying in the street. I would take them to a dealer and get melt for them.
Wow, where were you walking? Nice finds even in that condition. Can you scan the reverse's of the coins?
I live in Miami and was trying to get some excersise they are a lot of really old people here so i figure they gave some to the grandkids and this is what they did with them
now i feel bad to see kids having no value these days. but congratulations on ur little lottery have fun witht emone and maybe u can get into coin collecting
I could be seeing things, it looks a bit like the Peace dollar has FAKE crudely gouged into it? Or maybe not....
