Unfortunately it's too worn to tell just from the eyelid. It could be a hit. There might be other markers to compare. It is so worn it's not worth anything anyway.

No, I did live in New Hampshire for a while, here's a photo I took in 1996. It was rut season.

 

Ahh.. that explains it.

Can't say I've ever seen one in the wild, unfortunately...
