I think this Henning is a Chinese copy

    I think you could be right. What's going on with the front of the bust? Almost looks like rust ate away at the die...or maybe electrical discharge.

    WOW! Now they are making counterfeits of counterfeit coins. I guess because the original counterfeit has some value. I think it is a copy. The "ruffle" on Jefferson's shirt does not appear on legit coinage.

    It's there on Hennings on some of the 1944s, but this one has too much texturing

    The defect in the R looks like it was deliberately gouged into it.

    Yes the loop in the R isn't right, and I've never seen a Henning with lettering that sharp.

    Do you agree this is likely a reproduction and not a "genuine" Henning?
