So I came across this yesterday at a flea market and couldn't resist. I didn't pay what it's marked thankfully. So how much do you know about NNC? From what I've read it's not um shall I say accurate. I met the owner years ago at a show but can't remember his name. Not sure if I want to keep it in the holder and add it to home owners insurance or crack it out and get a real look at it lol IMG_20231009_195607~2.jpg IMG_20231009_195806~2.jpg WIN_20231009_20_00_33_Pro.jpg WIN_20231009_20_01_05_Pro.jpg

I think most people treat these basement slabs as raw coins, so, unless the slab holds some value I don't know about, I'd crack it out and get a better look!

People should and do look at these coins in these sub tier graders as raw coins. Except when they lose reason and pay up for PCI toned ASE o_O

Just by looking at the rough planchet around the steps. I doubt it is a 67 either.

I would leave the coin as is. It has nice protection. The heck with what the label calls it. I'm not a fan of changing holders if not needed. I think someone would buy it the way it is as a 66 and no FS.

I’d leave as is. It’s not FS and it’s not a 67 but it is nice looking. It has a certain appeal to it and it’s protected.

I think these holders are just "snap-fits" that you can easily pop open. I'd just leave it be. BTW not a FS

I think I'll leave it as is, no sense in cracking it if the general consensus is not FS. I didn't think it was but not by any means good at telling myself.

Not sure that those are two piece slabs? I cracked an 83O they called this one 63 PL.

How can it be full step with two gashes on them and not a full strike between the N and T? This is probably a MS-65 No FS in an NGC slab. 67 just takes so much.
