Many scanners do better if the coin is placed on the glass upside down. It is a matter of the relative position of the light bar and the pickup sensor. The only way to tell is try both and remember each time you used the scanner. http://www.forumancientcoins.com/dougsmith/scan.html
Constantine II Caesar, Trier mint, first workshop PTR. BEATA TRANQVILLITAS VOTIS XX on altar, 322 AD This is not a common coin but its value is limited by the rough surfaces. From the photos, I can not say anything about its authenticity. I did not find an exact match in the RIC catalog but the period has a lot of rare minor variations and my skills with separating them could be better. The coin needs to be shown to a specialist in Constantinian coins. The demand for low grade rarities would be limited to a few specialist collectors.
Doug you are big help. Thanks! I am not interested in selling at this moment. I would like to research as much as possible though. In case you would like to show it to someone please go ahead. If not fine. I have a bunch of coins left to ask about. I hope you dont mind. Thanks!
https://www.cngcoins.com/Coin.aspx?CoinID=137296 Compare to the one above (but you will not get that price!). Neither will I. I forgot I had anything similar.
I like that coin Doug! @dougsmit I know roman coins are not a lucrative hobby and it doesnt bother me. Hobby is hobby. If I didnt know better I'd say my coin has a younger female with a long hair and a hat or a younger male with a helmet depicted on it. Irecently acquired some nice catalogues, but this period is not covered.
