Before I begin, I apologize to the 98% of you who are computer savvy and knew this all along. This info is for the rest of us. On a different site I learned you can find a FREE copy of the Larry Briggs book on Seated Quarters. the link to this book is https://seateddimesvarieties.com/Briggs/chapters.htm This can be very confusing. The book is inside a site for Seated Dimes. Even now I cannot find this book link on the Gerry Fortin site for Liberty Seated Dime Varieties. However this link takes you straight to it. I have spent years looking for an online source for this book. The LCSS doesn't list it as a stand alone reference in it's list of online references. An online search always takes you Larry Briggs coin company. Moderators. If you can add this to whatever online book reference lists you have I would be profoundly grateful. james
I don't know why it does not work. I rechecked and that is it. If you go to Collectors Universe and open the post: The Enigmatic 1840-O No drapery Quarter. The link is in the third or fourth post. I rechecked there and the same link works. Post is on page 2 now. Tried that copy and paste thing but that does not work.
Thanks for posting this! I just added it to all the online attribution guides I know of on my resource page.
I'm not sure what you were trying to do to get that message, but you can absolutely post in that section. Once on this page, - click on US Coins. Once that opens, then click on Dimes - Once that opens then scroll to the bottom - - and make your post. When finished adding the link you want and whatever else you want to say, simply click on the Post Reply button.
I am not sure what to tell you. The page says "I do not have sufficient priviledges to post here." Having said that. I wasn't even able to get the original post right. Is there something preventing say a moderator from performing this task correctly? James
You cannot start a new thread in the Numismatic Resources section. But all members can post in any of the existing threads in the Numismatic Resources section. So if you follow the directions I gave you above, you CAN make the post yourself. As for this - - you can now though because the corrected link was posted. No, not at all. I just thought that since you were the one who discovered the resource, that you might actually enjoy posting about it yourself.
I ignored the notice telling me I had insufficient priviledges and followed your instructions. Which worked. Except for the fact that the link will not work. I am not big on hitting my head on brick walls. Learned long ago life was not a series of unending successes. Some folks are so busy "Being right" they can't DO right". sorry to everyone that hits this bad link. I am a member of the Liberty Seated Collectors Club so I will take a run at getting them to add this to their list of online references. Though I find it hard to believe the online reference person is oblivious to this quirk. who knows what machinations I will encounter there. james
