Celebrated my 29th last week, and I received some very nice items from my family:

-Civil War Store Cards by Fuld (very expensive book)
-1996-W 1/10th oz. gold coin (my first gold coin!)

    Hooray! :D

Sounds like you got some real thoughtful folks, there. Enjoy their gifts. (IMO, the book is worth much more than the coin, though not as pretty. LOL)

I remember when I was 29. Well, sort of.

29, why I was 29 for at least three years. It is a very good age to be. Why if I lose the ten pounds I gained this past week maybe I'll be 29 again.

Hope it was a good one! My 39th was a few weeks ago, and in the real sense, not the Jack Benny sense...though I prefer to call myself "21 with 18 years' experience." I think my wife is already plotting for my 40th next year. :D

I'm sorry. It must have been crummy, especially as a kid, to have some of your birthday presents just lumped in with Christmas presents.

Yeh, it was no fun to be handed a gift and hear " Happy Birthday & Merry Christmas" while other kids had two different parties and received two different gifts.

Hey, you were born on a very special day. A true blessing you must have been and still are to your parents.
