Check out this Seller's coins! Every coin is certified and graded by GEC (Grade Evaluation Company). This must be an acronym for this Seller as I believe that all of the coins are Seller self certified, self graded, self attributed and self holdered! Maybe SGS changed their' name to GEC as the Seller's eBay User ID is sullyscoins! Note that every Morgan and Peace Dollar is grade MS-67, every Franklin Half Dollar is graded MS-68 and all latter Dated coins are MS-70. Heck, this TPG even beats PCI from the old days as PCI would at least throw in a few MS-63 and MS-65 grades for some of the Morgan and Peace Dollars that they graded! I checked out quite a few of this Seller's Morgan and Peace Dollars and did not find a one that would go above an MS-64 grade!

Whoops, I was wrong! I found another Seller on eBay selling coins graded by GEC and guess what! Yes, all of his/her Morgan Silver Dollars are graded MS-67.

Frank,I can guess that you are starting to note down who all the self-slabbers so we can educate the newbies so that they don't get burnt.

    Frank
Those are some very nice cleaned Au's that they slabbed as MS-67.
Apparently they only have one grade.

    Huh?
    Those are PCGS.
Or are you saying that David Hall owns PCGS?

    Not all by himself.
    It's owned by stockholders.

He is, however, a founder of PCGS, and president of Collectors Universe, parent company of PCGS.
He oversees all divisions of CU.
He's the "Top Banana", if you will.

    :thumb:
But, we wouldn't be very successful, especially if we graded the coins properly.

I move we introduce a 1000 point grading system for CTGS (Coin Talk Grading System) and immediately assign all sumissions a grade of MS-9999 :D

Sorry CTGS is already taken, Coin & Token Grading Service. Active from 1993 to about 2003.

Well, if it's not active any more... :D

We could reverse it: GSoCT (Grading Service of Coin Talk)
