Here are a few cool new tokens I recently acquired as part of a mixed lot of things. The Lincoln campaign token is great, the Pennsylvania state fair token is pretty rare and the Sanitoruim was where Zelda Fitzgerald received treatment for bipolar disorder over six or seven separate stays in Asheville. Enjoy!

Interesting additions, Mark. I like the Lincoln piece in particular.

Nice lot. Was the state fair token struck that way. Looks to be like the reverse center may have been smothered then engraved with the Lord's prayer.

The Lincoln piece is the most common of the rail splitter varieties from the 1860 campaign. The fellow holding the wedge appears to be Stephen Douglas.

Very nice indeed, too bad it was holed but that was the sign of the times. Interesting coins thanks for sharing.

That piece was made to holed so that it could be mounted on a ribbon or string and worn. The pieces in high grade without a hole, especially is they are gilded, were made for collectors. Some political items collectors prefer the pieces that were used during the campaign.

Really? That's off Montford Avenue in Asheville. I used to live about two blocks away from it. She died in a fire there, I believe.

(Zelda Fitzgerald was the Great Gatsby author F. Scott Fitzgerald's wife, for those not familiar.)

    Great pieces, Mark.

The Lincoln piece is very historical, the Lord's Prayer engraved piece is really neat, and the Sanitorium piece is particularly interesting to me if it's from Asheville, as you described. The place Zelda Fitzgerald was hospitalized and died is now called Highland Hospital, I believe.
