I would buy it just for the hell of it. But to send something like that in to be graded? No way.

It is indeed 1 of 1. It is the lowest graded 1953 nickel that ICG has graded. I'm gonna be rich!

There you go; if anyone is looking to complete an ICG lowball set, then you have the perfect coin for it!

I guess some people just like looking at their collection in slabs regardless of what the rest of us think. Ha, ha!

    Man,
I don't even have 2 nickels to rub together. And you go and pay $4 for that one ?????? ????????

One whimsy which has been on my mind for the time when I finally have more money than brains (not that I'm far from it, and I'm poor) is a grading set of Jeffersons from my birth year. I figure it's the only way I'll ever learn to grade them accurately. :)

Well you're not gonna do it by going that route. The TPGs change their grading standards so often that those graded today will not be graded "accurately", by their standards anyway, a year or two from now.

But if you want to learn how to grade them accurately, buy the ANA grading book.
