Does this make this note rare? Screenshot_20230908_192559_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20230908_192744_Gallery.jpg

I have every star note I think I’ve come in contact with despite condition. Face value that’s well over $1000. I save them all just because I can.

    No, it isn't rare.
The first screenshot shows that they are on the common side of the bar - as far as a star note goes, it couldn't get much more common

    Thank you @Evan Saltis
I have never had a message come back like I did with this star note.

I save them all, just for the fun. I check them all but have never found anything worth more than face value.

I started out keeping all the star notes I find but when times are tight and money is short, well, I had to dip into my collection. I'm building it back slowly.

Now let me get this straight. Because somebody said the original run was reported to end at QA04800000* and your note is QA04804151* or beyond that SN you speculate you got something somebody might value at a premium? Wow, I just have to say wow. Does it occur to you the report might just be plumb wrong?

@Evan Saltis nails it: there's nothing rare about a 2M run (replacement or otherwise). Then, there have been notes with higher serial numbers reported which actually suggests the run is even larger. "Spender," unless UNC & you can afford to keep it IMO.

Are you good now that you got that out and made me feel foolish for sharing this? And that's exactly why I shared this post because I wasn't sure of what exactly the message attached to the note lookup meant. Everyone collects for their own reasons and profit isn't my reason. I find things that I like or interest me and I keep it. I have alot to learn and have learned a lot from CT members so Thank you for taking the time to check out my post.

Sharing what? You inquired whether the note is rare. I’m telling you it’s evidence this report is erroneous, that’s all that it is. Question asked and answered.

I used to save them but at one point I think I spent them. I remember getting a web note back in the day and I didn't know what it was. I could see the printing plate number was missing from the usual spot, but I spent it. Likewise with some HEAVY offset printing errors. I didn't realize what it was and spent them. I recently got a star note (not good condition) but the print run says only 1 run of 250,000. The star note lookup site is not very clear and I don't know what is rare (besides a single run of 32,000). So how do you know if the star note is rare or not?
As for Collecting Nut, if what I have seen on You Tube is true (cough, cough)
you could prob just sell $1000 in star notes for $2000.
