Adam,I used to have some that were issued by both the Papal States & the Vatican City in Rome.As these aren't mentioned in the Bible, they don't count.

I've still got my ancient Judean Prutah coins though.

That's because Emperor Paul didn't last very long... he was Tsar from 1796 - 1801. Assassinated.

Interesting that he was devout, because his mother, Catherine the Great, certainly wasn't. She was pen-pals with Voltaire, and introduced the language of disbelief into Russia. She was "enlightened" :headbang: , and picked up the "Enlightenment" ideas from the West. That school of atheist thought left a train of direct descendants leading to the Bolsheviki Atheist Crusade (aka Soviet Communism)... which murdered 50 million people in the name of atheism.

    "Enlightenment" ?

It does not matter that much in my opinion whether people get killed in the name of some religion or in the name of some ideology. In any case, I think we have forums here at Coin Talk which are more appropriate for such comments.

    Yes, Christian.
I have to advise you all not to let this thread stray towards a discussion of religion.
    Thanks, folks.

This is about the coins that are mentioned directly in the Bible, not actually talking about religion itself.
