I have looked through many books, and websites, and cannot find one like this. I CAN find coins with one or the other sides showing, but not one with these particular sides together. Mussolini 1943 on one side, and 2 Lire 1924 on the other. It has a plain edge. Could this be some kind of error coin, fantasy coin, etc? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
It is a fantasy piece as you were told the other day when you posted on someone elses thread. Mussolint was never shown on circulating coinage.
I saw you replied to the post. I am just looking for more info about it. What was the purpose, how many were made, is there any significance. Also it is not what it is supposed to be if it is the fantasy coin. I am just wondering why it is misprinted. It is different.

i had seen that also. The coin I have has 2 lire on the back. my photos show that. front says 1943 back says 1924. two different coins same planchet.
Show the edge. How can they strike a 1924 on a 1943? Or the other way around? Maybe 2 halves of coins put together?
that is what i thought. It doesnt look like there is a seem. i found another post that someone else posted. so it seems to that there are atleast two of these out there. you had replied to it yesterday. but the other poster had posted it in 2013.
i have a bunch of coins. i was just looking for info on this one. it seems like it is a touchy subject. i hope i didnt upset anyone on here.
i will see what i have that is fun and post in the next couple days im going to get some sleep. have a good night
From the photos on this and the CCF site, I answered that the 2 lire coin looks inset into the Mussalini shell, like a magicians coin, but without a seam showing on the edge,
