Is this a defective planchet, a lamination, or PMD? There is definitely a small lamination above Lincoln's head, but what is going on behind his head? There is a deep depression behind his head that looks like it could have been an old detached lamination that has worn during circulation. But there is also that crack in the side of the coin. Any and all comments are welcome.
Just above his head is an attached lamination which also extends into the rim as shown on the side. Everything else I see on the coin is PMD.
