Sorry gang - getting my daughters ready for college. I want to try to complete a SLQ collection and it’s a challenging as the selection and quantity is limited. This is an awesome site.

Welp, I no longer play with Ebay, and have lost interest in coins. Spent a few years doing Cancer research for those in my circle labeled terminal by their doctors. Had some success with a few, but recently lost my brother to Pancan. I tried everything and almost got an ambulance ride for myself during a Hail Mary attempt to save him.

I would second this motion. I haven't seen @LostDutchman in forever. Looks like the username does not even come up anymore. I loved his series on what walks into a coin store.

All these members have blessed us. I miss Kurt. But I think he forgot to leave his bat in the car

After the schism over to numisforums it seems like chatting and posting cooled down on both sites on the ancient side, so I've been much less active posting. Though I'm still actively collecting. Now I primarily post and engage on a couple of private Facebook groups, mostly ancient coin related. I do communicate with a handful of members here individually and enjoy catching up with my friends I made here and in the hobby. Also, I have noticed this site no longer works well posting images from my phone, when I try to upload them they won't post to the page. But that's also a frustrating error that minimizes me posting.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner, but I haven't been on this or the CU coin Boards in quite some time. I've been taking a rather long break from coins of late. It was a mix of health issues (which are more or less ok now), and just generally doing other things than coins. I still enjoy coins quite a bit, it's just that I've been spending more and more time on space memorabilia.

Here's my latest "toy", Tom Stafford's Apollo 10 flown flashlight. Stafford was Commander of Apollo 10, the second mission to the Moon, and the first one to fly the Lunar Module (LM) around the Moon. The Apollo crews flew in the Command and Service Module (CSM) from the Earth to the Moon with the LM attached. The CSM/LM would orbit the Moon at roughly 60 nautical miles (~ 70 standard miles). Crews in the LM would detach from the CSM and proceed down to the Moon. During Apollo 10 Stafford, and Gene Cernan, test flew the LM down to 47,000 feet above the Apollo 11 landing site, to test all the procedures so that "all" that the Apollo 11 crew had to do was the last 47,000 feet.

The CSM was named Charlie Brown. The LM was named Snoopy.

Welcome back @Skyman , good to see you again.

My son recently received a Celestron NexStar 8SE as an anniversary gift from his wife. So we've been doing a bit of stargazing ourselves.

Hope to see you more often. Stay well.
