Found 2 1973 d LMCcnts. Don't have camera yet. Are they rare. New at this. Any feed back welcome

    Have a 73 d penny missing vdb. Good shape but circulated. Can't take picture yet. Worth anything?

    Almost certainly not. The VDB on the shoulder is incuse and so is created by raised letters on the die. If a die is overpolished the initials can be removed. Several dates are well known for this such as the 1998. For the most part coisnfrom overpolished dies do not command a premium. (One exception being the 1937 D three legged buffalo nickel. Another the 1922 "plain" cent.)
