Newp: Titus aureus/opening of the Colosseum

    My second aureus, so two of my pending Twelve Caesars will be gold coins!

    This issue was struck 80 AD, the year the Colosseum opened. I like the elephant reverse.

    Wow, you're really on a roll lately! Fantastic coin. I've always wanted a denarius version of this type - it combines two of my favorite collecting interests - coins with elephants and coins with interesting historical significance.
