I like elephants and this is one wonderful gnarly individual elephant in my opinion! I've got this coming from Ireland - I am hoping it grades straight and XF or better. Does anyone have any thoughts? It's going in for grading and authentication as soon as it arrives. Seller's pics at this time.

Love the elephant! I think it will make XF-45, if not better.

I believe that it has been cleaned so don't expect a straight grade. As for sharpness, I would say AU.

I will pass this warning along. There was a counterfeit of this piece that made it into a genuine PCGS slab. CAC approved it. That is the reason why CAC no longer passes judgement on "colonial era coins." Sadly the crooks have gotten into everything.
