Hi to everybody, a friend of mine have gifted to me an ancient money, but he didn't have much information about it, he only knew it was a dirham from the umayyad emirate of al-Andalus (756-929). i don't know why this coin was half broken, but it was selled in this way. Can someone help me have more detailled informations? Year of coining, emir etc..? Technical informations: diameter 26 mm, weight: 1.3 g +- 0,1 (of the half broken coin). images below Thank you to all that will help me
The mint name al-Andalus (الاندلس) is legible at 7 o'clock in the obverse margin. The date, which would identify the reign, was on the missing half. It's a relatively early anonymous type.
