Sorry, I think stumbled onto the wrong thread. I was looking for the bargain basement AU58's.

    Bargain base
Bargain basement? :) One of the benefits of AU-58 is you get coins that are usually nicer than the MS-60 to MS-62(or even 63's) at times. So I think of all of them as bargain basement coins. Some of these coins once you hit MS you start talking big prices.

So nice additions to the thread.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I was just comparing the value of my AU58's compared to others here........I can't compete. :( But I'm having fun!

Never worry about the coins you collect. It's not a competition.:)

I know. I guess maybe it's just human nature from where I sit. Looking at all these threads or after walking thru a coin show........a bit of anxiety seems to hit me. My collection makes me feel good.... But then I log into CT and see what's really out there!

If your collection makes you feel good, then it is doing what it should be doing -- 100 percent. Mine does the same thing for me, though I doubt Stacks Bowers will get into a twist to sell it after I die.:D

That $10 gold will probably be my next big purchase. I hope it looks at least half as good as that one. I love yours.:D

    Thanks Santinidollar,
it's a mark free piece with just a hint of wear around the head dress.
I wish you luck finding a nice one, they are out there.

Both ANACS and NGC thought this is a 58, so I'll just accept it as such and call it my nicest AU coin :p
