This 83CC has the distinctive hit on the reverse eagle breast, indicating a counterfeit. However weight seems to be within range. But toning looks kinda off? Is this a counterfeit 83CC? https://www.ebay.com/itm/225723308802?
I believe it's a counterfeit. It looks like they put something under it on the scale to make it weigh more.
I'm no expert, especially on Morgan varieties, but is there any known variety of 83CC with that dot after the E in ONE? If not, then for sure it is counterfeit.
Looks like it to me but that's my opinion. I stay away from raw CC as a practice. I also wouldn't be the Sellers 2nd buyer seeing how he has only one sell on Ebay...
Aside from all the above reasons, I just don't like the 'coloring" of this coin. It looks artificial like the "coins" you can buy for $2-4 on eBay.
Big deal on the weight easily manipulated, many counterfeits sold are offered by low number sellers on ebay, this guy is no exception with (1) screams counterfeit !!
I agree! but if a person keeps trying, sooner or later someone maybe will buy it. The photos are not very good, but it does have the fake shine as they don't have a silver veneer to it. Beware, some a little more expensive than $2 look much closer to real.
I agree. Oftentimes I can't put my finger on why but just think it doesn't look right, as is the way I feel about this one.
