Copyright and libel are to pretty differnt things. I was responding to, in post #18: Just because something is on the internet, it's not in the public domain. THAT'S what I responded to...because I know that's not law. I have had to take a class with legal at my job. What I wrote is what I was taught or (admittedly) perhaps led to believe. I know a colleague of mine was fired for something he wrote in a blog...even though he used a pseudonym. I have been shown multiple cases regarding internet based libel...maybe not copyright.
His comments mentioned the reasons not having anything to do with members here, Coin Talk and that it was personal. So, while it is tempting for us to speculate that it has something to do with the Mint. It might just be that he doesn't have time to post here or some other personal matter. Although, it's hard not to tie it to the MInt in some way because he asked that all his posts be deleted. We are going to miss you ND86. Thanks for all the information you gave us.
You are not wrong there,Ruben. It was most odd that he requested the deletion of all his postings & his profile though. Aidan.
I can't speak for others, but even with the deleted posts, the information is NOT gone. I for one learned a lot from ND, as I am sure many other newbies, and, of course, those of us wanting details on the methods and madness of the mint. As logn as we remember what we learned and pass that knowledge on, ND's contributions will not be for naught
