Look at what I got in the mail today...two medieval beauties

My Almohad Caliphate medieval Islamic silver coin which I won from the JA auction the other day. Yeah, I probably don't have the orientation right on these pictures, but I just wanted to share it really quick.

And yeah, the Henry III penny. It is very beautifully dark toned, with blue hues to it. It is also a rather thin coin compared to what I'm used to with Roman coins, but I guess that's to be expected as these coins are on an entirely different field altogether.

Nice Midieval foray! I have a couple Elizabeth I and I am amazed how thin they are also. Kinda like the late Roman Siliquae. I see you are not tempting FATE by waiting post when they land in your paws! Good choices on both, but I like Hank III... Well centered, just looks good!

Oh, and I read your palm... You will have 12 kids in your future. Good luck! :)

Too funny. If you really knew me, you would find that I do not believe in magic, role playing games, or any type of fantasy. Hence, my joke about palm reading. :)

I figured as much which is why I commented about orientation. I was just being incredibly lazy and couldn't be bothered to rotate the image. You ever have one of those days?
