Hello all, Meow the Kitty here. Meow has hardly posted in the last few years due to being busy with other elements of the Cat Hoard. Meow still gets rolls from the bank at a regular basis, but they are almost always BU rolls. Meow opens most heads/heads BU rolls to see what can be found. And still gets a random circulated rolls from time to time. So this week Meow opened just one random roll and found a W quarter. An AU 2019 WITP. Meow was quite surprised as it has been a few years since Meow found a West pointer. Apparently, they are still some in the wild. 20230803_224707[1].jpg 20230803_224721[1].jpg And also Meow did find an unusual BU coin out of a BU roll. Meow from time to time will find BU quarters that are gunmetal in color compared to the average silvery ones. Meow thinks they are neat and keeps them. But the latest one Meow found was the darkest one ever. It may not show well in the simple pictures Meow took, but this coin looks practically black because it is so dark a shade of gunmetal. And it came from a BU roll of normal silvery quarters.

Some, mostly small gifts, prizes and circulation finds.
Mostly just dealing with life's burdens lately. You know how it is.
Thanks for asking by the way. :)

I was wondering what happened to you. We animal coin collectors are far and few. There was a frog who was a prolific poster here who isn't here anymore. Attrition in our ranks, it's sad. :(

    Thanks for popping back in!

I wonder whether the dark quarter has an alloy issue, or whether it's just an odd variety of toning (or even a surface contaminant). Looks like it has full luster...?

Meow thinks it is not environmental damage. It does not seem pitted or oxidized at all. And yes it does have full luster. And the coin is a lot darker than it looks like in the picture. Not sure if it has any value at all, but Meow thinks it is really cool.

Meow's drug of choice is hoarding!

I maintain that if you've ever donated or sold anything you're not hoarding. At the recent TNA show, I donated a dozen lots to the Youth Auction. So there!

But the ratio is waaaaaay off for Meow. Meow has 100s or thousands of items in the Cat Hoard, but has sold less than 25 things in this Cats lifetime.
