Macrinus imitation tet

    Hello,

    My Geta is great, I also bought more for example this imitation Tetradrachm from Macrinus, Antioch, bought this one of the Eagle that is very thin compared to others, strange coin.

    Nice/strong portrait, especially over mine.

    Agree, your eagle looks like it's made from twigs.

    Carrhae, Mesopotamia
    O: AYT K M OΠ CE MAKPINOC CE, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right, from behind.
    R: ∆MAPX EΞ YΠATOC, eaglestanding front, wings spread, head right, between legs crescent, star in left field, two pellets (second officina?) in ex; REV LEG?.

    My Macrinus is a little different... you do't see too many FACING Quadrigas...

    Well I got around 20 Macrinus tets now...from all kind of places...

    Imitation is still cool. Either you guys have ESP or we are all similar in a way. Just bought a Syrian Tetradrachm, will post it once I get a chance to take photos of it.
