    Hey everyone i recently found i have a dollar bill with an error of having 2 faces of George Washington on both sides along with lettering from the front being on the back as well.

    My question was if this is rare more than what it is it worth but I wouldn't mind hearing what its worth as well?

    Totally agree with @Spark1951 , without pictures it is absolutely impossible to confirm, authenticate, grade, and ultimately suggest any kind of value to your FRN or Federal Reserve Note.

    Sounds like an "Offset wet ink transfer" Note. Somethings offset, any ways! :hilarious:

    Wet ink transfers happen when, in error, a sheet of currency paper does not enter the press, the inked printing plate will contact the impression cylinder. When the next and subsequent sheets enter the press, they receive both the intended printing on the correct side and an impression on the opposite side from the ink left on the cylinder.
    That's a copied description of this error which I believe to be true in your case. Looks to be at least 80% coverage.

    Is that rare or is it really common?

    I'm no expert on currency but I do own 2 of this 100% coverage, Medium ink. One is real and the other is a copy from a printer.
    I'd have to call on our expert currency guy @SteveInTampa for rarity and value. Like I said, condition is everything.

    Interesting. I honestly thought this bill would be dismissed as common very quickly but thanks for the input. I know my opinion of the condition doesnt matter much but the bill is in decent condition if being a harsh critic.

    I’m having my difficulties at the moment, not with this note but with my thinking. I just can’t get my thoughts straight. It must be my meds. Everything that should be on the front of the note is backwards on the back of the note. And not everything on the front is on the back. I’m having my difficulties so I know I’m not being helpful. Hopefully someone will respond with the correct info.

    I’m doing alright for the time being. The scar is healing very nicely and the strength grows in my leg. Still a few aches and pains so I’m limited.
    Thanks for asking.

    @riza, welcome to Coin Talk.
    I believe you have an authentic ink transfer note and it will demand a premium when sold as such.

    Here is an example of one I have.

    With the photo @Mountain Man posted above I believe it is a printing error. I’m still screwed up in my mind but there are too many similarities to ignore.
